Orlando based riser EJ has just shared "Another Day In Paradise". The gritty alt rock track is the first taste off of his upcoming EP The Storm, the second EP of a thrilling conceptual trilogy.
With "Another Day In Paradise", EJ writes a song all about the perils that many young people experience including emotional and physical burnout, disillusionment, loneliness and toxic comparison. For a generation who grew up behind the screens and glued to the Internet, the song is a wake up cry and sarcastic commentary on the pressure to show a picture-perfect reality when things are crumbling down. He sings showing these themes, "But there’s nothing else I can do / I hate my job I hate you / And it goes on and on and on and on / It’s just another day in paradise / It’s just another day." Musically, "Another Day In Paradise" is a hard hitting alternative rock affair complete with thrashing guitar riffs, a fast fast-paced rhythm and biting lyrics. EJ delivers a raw and energetic performance while he blends catchy melodies with sharp social commentary, creating the ultimate earworm.
EJ creates a sound that's both powerful and accessible. He began playing live at just 14, performing alongside Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed at the legendary Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles.
