Hailing from Guelph, Ontario, indie-soul band SHEBAD—led by visual artist and vocalist Claire Voy and multi-instrumentalist Ciccio Spagnolo—made waves with their debut album, Music is the Answer, released late last year. Now, they're hitting the road for their Love is the Message tour, spanning the U.S. and Canada starting in April 2025, with stops in Brooklyn and Montreal.

Their sound refreshingly blends like jazz, neo-soul, and indie-soul, channeling the warmth of Hiatus Kaiyote with tight, in-the-pocket grooves, rich harmonies, and plenty of heart.

The album showcases a dynamic range of tempos and swing-infused beats, effortlessly complementing Voy’s jazzy, flexible vocal prowess. From the upbeat energy of "Black Walnut" to the laid-back, breezy flow of The Heart, each track highlights her versatility.

On "The Heart," Voy’s soulful vocals delve into love and the pull of intuition, singing, "Listen to the heart inside you begging you to go" and "Even in the darkest of nights, even though we know it's not right, I wanna be the one you love."

If you're into sultry vocals, jazzy melodies, and hip-shaking grooves, SHEBAD is a band you don’t want to miss. Check out the tour dates below and see if they’re coming to a city near you.
