DMV-based producer crew Team Demo are truly cut from a different cloth as they manage to flip the script on every release. Their latest single “Pistolas” is an energetic Mariachi guitar-driven track that features the legendary Diaz Brothers—Tony Touch and Doo Wop and the late Fatman Scoop. The track essentially pairs three DJs who are rappers and hypemen respectively and the result is a vibrant house party underground jam filled with razor-sharp bars and a mantra-like hook underpinned by the 90s mixtape aesthetic. Tony Touch and Doo Woop lay solid verses brimming with raw unfiltered bars and while the late, great Fatman Scoop signature hype brings an extra layer of intensity.
