Permanent (Joy) finds their sound in hazy rock "I Wanna Go Home" single

Liverpool-based band Permanent (Joy) continues to showcase a fresh and much darker sound than their previous band. Born out of the ashes of their former band, Blondes, the band is retooled and rebranded with indie rock that oozes notes of soft ethereal. After their 2024 debut single, "Josephine," Permanent (Joy) released their first single of the new year with "I Wanna Go Home."

The track explores elements of rock and deeply flushes out Permanent (Joy) musically in a unique way. While the first two singles released by the band sounded very much like Blondes, "I Wanna Go Home" sees the new band in their established element. The track is heavy in its production and does its damage with intent.

Permanent (Joy) is brass and untethered in their new single, showcasing haunting lyrics and slashing guitar riffs. The background vocals on the chorus leave the hair on the back of your neck standing. Infectious and with an edgy theme, "I Wanna Go Home," is the perfect track to reintroduce your listeners with a new sound.

"I Wanna Go Home" is out on all DSPs.
