Intercontinen7al’s innovative new EP, World Over, celebrates global collaboration and eclectic soundscapes. With influences ranging from Pearl Jam, Prince, Tool, Porcupine Tree, and The Beatles, the five-track EP crosses over demographics and genres, redefining what international artistry entails.

This name made World Over, an audio journey unlike any other, clocking at about half an hour. From the EP’s zesty, brightly colored opener, “Puerto Aisen,” which has a blissful guitar intro partially recorded in Antarctica, to the jarring and beautiful “Butterflies” and the lovelorn “The Chamber,” each song is a rehearsed process of blending disparate styles with an emotional core.

“Butterflies” captivates with its sweet, ethereal melodic lines, layering happy instrumentation into an uplifting sonic bloom that’s radiant as an unexpected glimmer of sun. In the meantime, “The Chamber” highlights more introspective themes packed with powerful, universally resonant lines. These highlight tracks demonstrate Intercontinen7al’s skill for both technical precision and heart-spun narrative.

Indeed, what makes World Over unique is its incredible recording process. This EP from artists across 7 continents exemplifies how music can overcome cultural divides. This and other Unexpected duets help to lift each member’s sound above their more familiar compositions, bringing edginess to the loving and the simple to the awkward; you hear at their best how the band is unswerving in its commitment to finding chords between its many and diverse voices through even the most dissonant note.

Intercontinen7al’s World Over is a musical movement disguised as an EP. Rich with the artistry and style we have come to expect and the global vision of what music can offer from there. Take a trip into the limitless world of World Over, which is a tribute to the healing quality of music.
