The decision to include “Once Again” wasn’t easy; SherryZ explained, “Chunho and I argued about whether it belonged on the album because it was so different, but ultimately, we realized it encapsulated the light I was searching for.” This daring choice underscores her ability to step into different territories, offering a stark yet fitting conclusion to the album’s themes of resilience and renewal.
“Love on Hold” showcases SherryZ’s flair for innovation. The song draws inspiration from Erykah Badu’s “On & On”, but twists it into something entirely her own, with shuttling synth tones and a menacing vibe that reflects the chaos of a fractured relationship. The quirky bassline from Sunset Rollercoaster’s Chen Hung Li adds a playful, unexpected texture, further highlighting Chunho’s experimental fingerprints.
