UK born and raised and now NY based singer-songwriter Phoebe Katis has just released her upbeat single "Kindred Lover". The indie R&B laced pop track features Jazz-funk saxophonist Sam Greenfield. The song follows this year's releases of her singles "Good Days" and "Woods".

"Kindred Lover" is a song with a couple of important meanings. The candid track narrates how sometimes someone has a strong first impression and connection but it doesn't always work out. Breakups are hard and difficult and oftentimes it is helpful to have a confidence boost after the fact. Self love is so important and with 'Kindred Lover", Phoebe Katis relays this important message. She sings, "Dedicated all my love / To watch you walk away / Took me a minute / But I'm here to finally say / I didn't need a guardian angel to come and save me / I made a promise to the gal in the mirror / Said it's me and you forever." Sonically, "Kindred Lover" features nu-disco rhythms, soaring R&B inspired vocals and captivating melodies, making it a beacon of dance floor escapism. It’s an earworm in the best way, with a sultry sax solo, crisp synths and an infectious hook that sticks with you long after the song ends. "Kindred Lover" is a single that celebrates self-assuredness, joy, and liberation and it is a must hear banger.

Phoebe Katis is a multifaceted and incredibly talented singer-songwriter and performer. She first shared music in 2014 and since then has shared numerous albums, singles and EPs to her growing fanbase. The artist has collaborated with the likes of Grammy-nominated Cory Wong, popular band Scary Pockets, Stephen Colbert's Late Show music leader Louis Cato, Giacomo Turra, and Dave Koz. Her music transcends time, blending the best of pop's past with a forward-looking, unapologetically modern sound. Take a listen to "Kindred Lover" now and enjoy the ride!
