New Jersey raised and now Brooklyn based singer-songwriter Ski Team has just shared her latest single. Entitled "Me", the atmospheric and unique indie pop song is released alongside an enthralling music video.
"Me" is an anthemic and infectious left-of-center indie pop song all about examining how roles often define us and our relationships with one another. The track is a narration on how important it is to try and give up control on trying to fit someone in your life in a certain way. The track also encourages the focus to be on one's own self instead of always wanting someone to be what you want them to be. She sings, "Do you want me / I can't tell / You ask me what I really wanted / I couldn't think of anything / But me." Musically, "Me" is a stunning piece of alt pop filled with a sultry saxophone solo, warm-lit vocals and moody beats. The song moves like a dream through a prism of sonic innovation, emotional exploration, and rich textures. Ski Team teamed up with producer Daniel Knowles (Sharon Van Etten, Cigarettes After Sex) on the kaleidoscopic and hypnotic new single. The accompanying music video shows the artist going through mundane tasks in a futuristic looking environment. The visuals are stunning and cinematic.
