AMÉMÉ has joined forces with breakthrough talent Franc Fala for their first collaborative effort "Wait For You," an infectious Afro house track released today via Armada Music. The release brings together captivating rhythms, vibrant guitar riffs, and sultry vocals for a rich sonic offering crafted to radiate warmth and ignite dancefloors.
First premiered at this year's ADE during AMÉMÉ's signature One Tribe event at Amsterdam's Shelter, the track has already garnered support from scene heavyweights including Camelphat, Hugel, BLOND:ISH, Marco Carola, and THEMBA.
"When AMÉMÉ and I first started working on this track, we immediately felt the power of the guitar and percussion together," says Franc Fala. "There's something about that rhythm—simple but full of energy—that grabs you right away."
The collaboration arrives during a landmark year for Afro house, with the genre climbing nine spots on the Beatport genre chart in just two years. Franc Fala recently scored one of summer's biggest hits with "Yamore," a collaboration with MoBlack and Salif Keita featuring Benja and Cesária Évora that has seen unprecedented commercial success.
Meanwhile, West African-born, Brooklyn-and Berlin-based AMÉMÉ has continued to champion the Afro house sound through his NYC-based party and label One Tribe Records. His packed 2024 has included releases on Black Book Records, Realm Records, and Defected Records' sub-label One People, alongside performances at fabric London, Paradise Ibiza, Awakenings Amsterdam, and shows with Swedish House Mafia.
"Wait For You" serves as both a testament to the genre's growing influence and a preview of more potential collaborations between these rising stars. As Franc Fala notes: "Whatever happens with this one, the experience has been worth it. And we're just getting started."
