FNP rises up with speed garage fuelled "In The Morning"

FNP’s latest track, "In The Morning," sees the East London producer diving headfirst into the pulsating world of speed garage, delivering a tune that’s as emotionally charged as it is dance floor ready. Released on November 26, the track draws from the golden days of UK garage while layering it with modern flair, creating an irresistible blend of anthemic horns, U.S. rap vocal cuts, and a bass-heavy drop that demands a gun-finger salute.

The production, much like the vibe, is electric. FNP masterfully fuses nostalgic elements with contemporary energy, offering a sound reminiscent of Interplanetary Criminal and MJ Cole while carving out his own identity. The cascading speed garage infused bass lines hit like a freight train, and the track’s ebb and flow make it a perfect storm for sweaty late-night rave sessions—a sentiment FNP himself doubles down on, describing it as “a track for 4am energy and sweaty basement raves.”

Known for his versatility, FNP’s journey spans from spinning drum and bass at university to founding labels like Slinkiemusic and Bottled Sauce. His past work has drawn support from tastemakers including Avalon Emerson and Ross From Friends, but “In The Morning” feels like a return to his roots, with a deep nod to the UK’s storied bass scene.

This track isn’t just a tribute to garage—it’s a full-throttle celebration of the genre’s timeless appeal. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of UK bass or someone exploring its sound for the first time, “In The Morning” promises an adrenaline rush that’s hard to forget.
