This past Halloween, Drumsheds in Tottenham, London, came alive with the creative energy of Boomtown and Elrow, as the two legendary event brands joined forces for the first time. The weekend-long event transformed the massive 15,000-capacity venue into a labyrinth of immersive worlds, music, and unrelenting revelry, marking a standout moment in London’s festival calendar.

Boomtown, renowned for its groundbreaking festival in Winchester, brought its signature storytelling and theatrical artistry to the heart of the capital. For over 15 years, Boomtown has crafted intricate narratives that unfold across its festival stages, weaving together themes of creativity, community, and connection. At Drumsheds, they transported their loyal fanbase into an eerie dystopian wonderland, brimming with carnival creatures, elaborate stage designs, and pulsating beats. The narrative follows from this year's festival in August, where for the very first time Boomtown's fate was left in the hands of citizens as they voted for a district leader in the Boomtown election to take over the whole city. The Collector was voted into power, and after a very cryptic closing ceremony, he revealed he had the key to open a portal which left Boomtown in uncertainty.

The Collector accidentally opened the gateway, Boomtown had been sucked through a portal into a "hell dimension" that is Elrow, and Drumsheds' Halloween weekender is where citizens and The Collector joined forces to close the portal to Elrow's hell dimension for good. With stages reflecting the festival's tradition of blending music with immersive environments, paired with a spectacular lineup synonymous with both Boomtown and Elrow, the weekend offered not just a party but a journey into the surreal. Attendees were treated to theatrical performances, larger-than-life characters, and interactive experiences, staying true to Boomtown’s ethos of creating a "living, breathing city" at every event.

This collaboration marked a new chapter for Boomtown, blending its well-honed storytelling with Elrow’s vibrant and playful energy. Together, they captivated a diverse crowd of ravers and festival enthusiasts, proving once again why Boomtown remains a leader in events culture. Check out the electrifying party, ghostly antics, and haunting performances below!

The next Boomtown installment continues with their festival next year,  6-10th August. Tickets are available here, and selling fast, be quick so you can experience the madness firsthand.
