London-based singer-songwriter Ella Jinks shares tender new offering “This Fall,” diving into our emotions with a powerful yet quiet musicality. Co-written with renowned artist Katie Melua, the track is rich and passionate, framed by wistful pianos, ethereal vocals and heartfelt lyricism.

Speaking of the track, Jinks says, “It’s a song about understanding the importance of embracing pain in difficult situations rather than numbing ourselves entirely. Through the writing process, I realised that when we suppress sadness, we also suppress our capacity for joy and so it’s actually better to fully experience our emotions as they come, rather than burying them only for them to resurface later.”

A gentle but impactful anthem that hones in on Jinks’ luscious vocals and resonant soundscapes, the track showcases her balance between modern and timeless, mature and charming weaving through eternal themes of young adulthood, accepting your strengths, weaknesses and learning to grow.

Known for her classic, bluesy indie-folk musicality, Ella Jinks has set herself up as a force to be reckoned with on each new release.
