ROREY's "Soho Grand" is sonically dreamy and lush

New York bedroom pop singer-songwriter ROREY has just shared her latest single "Soho Grand". The track follows this year's single releases "Sleepwalking" and 'Standby". All the songs are off of her highly anticipated upcoming sophomore EP, Dysphoria.

"Soho Grand" is a deeply personal, reflective and important song. Written when ROREY was in an extremely dark time in her life, she asks the question, does it get better? ROREY was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and had been dealing with horrible depression as well as manic episodes. "Soho Grand" was written during that time and the song details her cognitive dissonance navigating her mental health journey. The track also discusses the dedication it takes to ask and get the help needed to help deal with such a disorder. She shares, "I think we’ve all been at a place where we wondered if things would ever get better. That feeling kept me from seeking help because, for a while, I thought, What’s the point if it never does? Spoiler alert—it did. Healing isn’t linear; for me, it took years of commitment and surrender. To anyone looking for relief, I’d encourage you to lean into the uncertainty. Trust the process—it’s worth it.” Musically, "Soho Grand" is dreamy, layered and beautiful, a stark contrast to the song's subject matter. An intricate web of guitars, organic instrumentation and vulnerable soulful vocals add to the song's allure. The delivery is emotionally charged and captivating.

ROREY is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter who grew up in both LA and NY. She has touched others all around the world with her opnessnes, honesty and musical prowess. Check out "Soho Grand" now and remember it can get better, don't be afraid to ask for help.
