Northampton's garage rock powerhouse Fountain is back with their fiery new single, “Itch.” The track offers a glimpse of their highly anticipated debut EP, Talking To Ghosts, set to drop on November 15th and coincides with their upcoming UK headline tour.
Produced by acclaimed mixing engineer Lee Russell, “Itch” showcases Fountain's ability to blend high-octane rock with an accessible indie edge. The song features tight guitar riffs, punchy drums, and a melodic lead vocal, capturing a vibrant energy that defines the band’s sound. Lead vocalist Jordan Noon reveals that “Itch” was inspired by his teenage years, reflecting the carefree intensity of young love. “It’s a reflection on love in its purest, rawest form,” he shares.
Since forming in 2023, Fountain has quickly gained attention, with their debut headline show selling out in advance and notable festival performances in 2024. Already featured as BBC Introducing’s Track of the Week, they are making waves in the music scene. Drawing inspiration from rock giants like The Black Keys and IDLES, Fountain is poised to leave a lasting mark.
