This will show people that we don't always have it figured out, beautiful.

Lecrae never fails to pour out the deepest part, touching on subjects that move us as people. This was a beautiful display of needing salvation from Jesus. The relatability makes the record extremely special, something that people can really draw into through the dark times of life and feel like they have a voice spiritually. The production is unique fresh and modern, really giving off the vibe of new school hip hop but his presence and delivery on “Lift Me Up” allows you to feel the song.

The vocal synths add depth to the record, making it sound extremely full and balanced. The verses are well written. He gives another flavor than just the traditional rapping. He raps with harmonization, bringing out the concept of the track, carrying a deep gospel feel. Reminding us of the power of truly submitting to God and letting him lift you. I can see people singing this tune because of how it might move them emotionally, a great piece of art.

Beam as the vocalist extenuates the vibe of the song, though the record is a deep and vulnerable record, it is incredibly vibey. It allows you to also enjoy the feel and groove of the record. Often when records are so deep, they lose the sensation to draw the listener in for it to be easy to listen to and sonically pleasing. This record is well-balanced and enjoyable in every way, as well as continuously making powerful statements about one's reliance on God. "When it all goes dark’ Lift me up,” those particular words hold a lot of power because we’ve all had dark times in life, whether recent or far. This can help people through it and what's more special than creating timeless art that can be used to help people heal in life and form a relationship with our creator.

The mix and master within itself were works of art well complimenting the direction of the record well. Definitely takes the music to another level sonically!

Lecrae has been doing this for a long time and time after time he shows us not only his talent but his faith. Something Hip Hop could absolutely use.
