Star2 reflects “I thought about the Lost Boys … and the kids in the camp who need a fantasy childhood – one where they aren’t hungry or suffering. I wish they could fly out of the camp and be saved like I was.” This song is for those kids. "Lost Boy" uses the melody of Ruth B’s “Lost Boy” and expands upon it with “I am a Lost Boy / From Mae La camp / I went from rags to riches – I used to sleep on floors! / I hadda change my way / I wanted so much more!” The lyrics inspire listeners of all walks of life with a sense of possibility and hope. The track is brimming with nostalgia and heart, featuring the voices of children. Their voices represent who these artists once were and all they have become. Star2 was forced to flee his home in Myanmar when the Burmese army burned his village to the ground. He ended up in the Mae La refugee camp, and then by luck and chance, in San Diego.
