FEYEN brings healing soundscapes to life with debut album, 'Hoʻoponopono'

Belgian artist Roger Feyen has debuted with a 13-track album, Hoʻoponopono, which combines the essence of rock opera with the meditative rhythms of yoga and spirituality. This pioneering work in the "Yoga Opera Rock" genre aims to provide a healing and immersive experience, pushing the boundaries of music while guiding listeners on forgiveness, love, and self-discovery.

The album's title, Hoʻoponopono, is inspired by the ancient Hawaiian ritual of forgiveness and reconciliation, which aligns with the album's gratitude, healing, and empowerment themes. Feyen's soundscape merges calming melodies with operatic vocals, soft-rock instrumentation, and subtle pop elements. Each track unfolds like a chapter in a sonic meditation, drawing listeners inward with its spiritual depth.

The lead single, 'I Am Love', exemplifies Feyen's unique fusion of spirituality and rock. The track combines a Schumann-inspired melody with ethereal vocals, serving as an anthem for inner peace. Feyen's emotive vocals craft a mantra of self-love and acceptance, highlighting the potential for joy and transformation in the present moment—a recurring theme throughout the album.

Through standout tracks like 'Overture' and 'Love and Not War,' Feyen provides a full-spectrum musical journey, drawing from global traditions and collaborating with star choreographer Marvin A. Smith. Hoʻoponopono introduces a fresh, genre-bending sound that invites reflection, forgiveness, and celebration of life's most excellent themes with love.
