London ensemble Ghost Arcadia celebrates defiance in the face of adversity on “STRAY,” an intense anthem laden with the nostalgic influences of 90s video game music.
Encapsulating the struggle of being an outcast while also finding pride in it, the track is an ode to individuality and breaking confines of a mould. With heavier sonic tones that draws inspiration from the likes of Architects and Enter Shikari, the track is also infused with love for video games.
The hypnotic feel of the track is elevated by the dystopian vibe of the accompanying music video, featuring a bear crashing through a castle presenting a great visual metaphor for breaking out of mainstream society. With vivid visuals juxtaposing the layered synths, the track and video both make for a kaleidoscopic experience.
Offering the first peek at Ghost Arcadia's upcoming EP, What We Become, the genre-bending track is a solid showcase of the sonic diversity we can expect from the act who are all set to set the alternative scene alight.
