Miami band Galactic Fuzz weaves through varied shades of rock music on their sophomore album And the Stars, a ten-track collection that captures the emotional range of the genre, framed by familiarity and freshness in equal parts.
Traversing confidence and wistfulness alongside vigour and vulnerability, the album moves from the refreshing stylings of tracks like “Mile Beneath,” and “Wide Awake,” into the raw but powerful energy of “Overrated,” delivering a sweeping culmination of the greats across the past few decades.
Contemporary yet nostalgic, the project manages to be expansive but intensely focused as it moves from hard-hitting rock numbers and laid-back soundscapes to trippy, down-tempo moments and delicate touches.
Driven by its ability to make rock tunes with a psychedelic vibe, Galactic Fuzz which was formed in 2019 have cared out a space for themselves as one of Miami’s most lauded independent acts as they build on an exciting year of music to reach new heights.
