East London producer FNP returns with a skip in his step on funky garage anthem "Sophisticated Fun", evoking raw emotion and pure joy for the dance floor.
Subtle sirens inject energy, whilst bouncy chords take centre stage amongst grooving vocal chops and iconic euphoric stabs that pull in influences from the likes of Y U QT's "Y'All Ready For Dis" or CDM Project's earlier Space Jam original. Using M1 synths in all its glory, FMP demonstrates why the piece of kit is a cult favourite among his fellow garage, trance and house peers.
Making his way through all the BPMs, FNP's musicality flows through his veins, originally rooted in the sounds of drum and bass, before widening his palette that ranges from garage, house, techno breaks and beyond.
Nailing the definition of a garage summer anthem, "Sophisticated Fun" does what it says on the tin. It's unapologetically fun and makes for the ultimate hands in the air moment whilst adding another layer to FNP's musicial output who shows he's not afraid to experiment. Only continuing to thrive doing what he does best, we can't wait to see what direction FNP heads in next.
