The Florida based prodigy in the making returns with a new single and a new video to accompany the experience of living and losing love in your early years.
Chenayder has been on a hot streak. After releasing two new singles this year to critical and audience acclaim, and scoring a feature from Charlotte Mayor Mavi, the Florida songstress returns with a new track to capture a moment of weakness in its most vulnerable form.
“Teen Heartbreak” takes a subtle left turn from the more upbeat tempos established on Chenayder's previous two tracks, but still brings energy in a vibrant form through eccentric piano chords and a haunting violin.
Chenayders signature vocal harmonies mix with melancholic lyricalism, presenting something heartbreakingly familiar, but optimistic simultaneously.
The accompanying video, directed by Legit Looks, supports this concept of loneliness with an eerie backdrop, painting a lonely space where our main protagonist escapes in despair and comfort. The latest single comes ahead of Chenayder’s collaborative show in Brooklyn with Oakland-based rapper/ producer OVRKST, taking place at Baby’s All Right July 17.
