Nigerian artist Bella Shmurda has shared a new song called "1999", featuring Bloody Civilian. Inspired by his environment and lifestyle, Shmurda prides himself on tapping into the pain of the street and educating the world on their hardships. Shmurda first gain renown in 2018 with his breakout single, "Vision 2020". It caught the attention of Afrobeats icon Olumide, and the support from the legend encouraged Shmurda to release his acclaimed EP Hypertension. For Shmurda's latest offering, he connects with Bloody Civilian, a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer signed to Def Jam UK, for a powerful, sleek Afrobeats offering in "1999".

"1999" builds a vital soundscape through its usage of uplifting, warm keys laced atop a pounding rhythm section. Pulsating drums and rich bass underscore the track's soaring vocal lines, which build dynamically into an enticing hook. Shmurda and Civilian display a natural chemistry on "1999", with Shmurda's sturdy delivery blending smoothly with Civilian's lucid, airy vocal lines.

Nigerian artists Bella Shmurda and Bloody Civilian provide a vibrant sonic canvas with "1999", a heartfelt track that brings together memorable songwriting with warm, expansive instrumentation.
