West Sussex-based artist Flynn Murray, known as Dread FM, has released a powerful new single, "Runner," in collaboration with Bones Ate Arfa. Premiering on BBC Radio 6 Music's New Music Fix and supported by Radio X, the track offers a vibrant preview of Dread FM's debut album, Who Killed the Vibe?, out July 14th.
"Runner" showcases Dread FM's signature blend of alt-hip-hop and rock, with heavy FX bass and dynamic flows. The track marks the second collaboration between Dread FM and Bones Ate Arfa, transforming their bedroom jam sessions into a gritty, polished sound.
Dread FM describes "Runner" as a song about resilience and empowerment: "Runner is about taking back your control. The importance of getting back up when you’ve been knocked down." This theme permeates the forthcoming album, highlighting Murray's growth as a songwriter and performer.
Who Killed the Vibe? features a mix of rock, hip-hop, and electronic elements, written by Murray and co-produced with Erik Miles. "Runner" is available now, setting the stage for an exciting album release this summer.
