Iowa born and now Nashville based singer-songwriter XOLEX has just unleashed her latest country single and my is it exquisite. Entitled "Daisy Dukes", the artist partnered with songwriters and producers Troy Johnson (Keith Urban, Sara Evans) and Bonnie Baker (Reba, Hunter Hayes, Rachel Platten) on the remarkable musical offering.
With "Daisy Dukes", XOLEX creates an autobiographical musical moment detailing her experiences of moving to a big city and chasing her own creative dreams. She confides, "I’m known for being a gypsy and traveling so much and my parents have always told me not to forget my roots, I feel like this was my inspiration behind the track.” She sings "I'm a long long way from home / Getting what's mine on my own," knowing her purpose but also always remembering who she is and where she came from. Musically, "Daisy Dukes" enthralls with bluesy guitar riffs, gritty slide guitars and XOLEX's soulful yet swagger filled confident vocals. An anthemic and sing-a-long worthy chorus full of heart and authenticity is a standout in this invigorating country tune.
