This year's Blue Note Jazz Festival is coming with a sensational twist. In collaboration with Black Radio Productions, they're presenting The Black Radio Experience, hosting artist-in-residence: Robert Glasper.
Robert Glasper, one of Blue Notes' newest and exceptional acts, is a titan within the jazz realm but is responsible for some of the most notable projects within hip-hop and R&B as well. Glasper is responsible for crafting the grooves for the greatest projects by Kendrick Lamar, Common, Bilal, Denzel Curry, and Maxwell just to name a few.
Glasper and Co are teaming up with the Blue Note Jazz Festival in Napa Valley to bring a ceremony celebrating jazz and Black culture and every bit of art caught in the intersections in a three-day weekend extravaganza. All of which, are to be hosted by Sway Calloway.
The festival has finally released its lineup with some notable names including Andre 3000, Jill Scott, and John Legend. Fans can see the performances from August 30th to September 1st at The Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa Valley, CA.
