Los Angeles based musician, singer and songwriter Pigeon Club has just unveiled his latest single and accompanying music video. Called "Ancient History", the song is the latest off of his upcoming album Another Year In The Minors which is in collaboration with Grammy winning co-producers John Would and Amy Wood (Fiona Apple, Warren Zevon).
With "Ancient History", Pigeon Club creates a track all about the passage of time. From experiencing loss, joy and more, the song dives into how fleeting the moments are and how much we need to try and savor them. Lyrics including, "Stop and say hello / To a near and dear departed / And go home every now and then / Finish what you started / Cause there is no going round again," show this theme. Musically, the song begins with a stunning acoustic guitar riff and soon includes twangy slide guitars that overlay the mood rich offering. Pigeon Club sings haunting melodies that linger long after the track's completion. The indie folk ballad is reminiscent of bands and artists including Wilco, Neil Young and Andy Shauf. The music video is extremely personal for the performer displaying a time capsule collage of childhood home videos in conjunction with a current rainy day porch performance,
Pigeon Club is the musical project of Los Angeles based Wayne Whittaker. Known for his musical talent and prolific performance ability, the artist has worked with well known artists and bands including Dawes, Diane Coffee, Haerts.
