Nashville-raised, London-based talent Talon David explores the changing definitions of dreaming and imagination at the cusp of adulthood on sophomore album Pure Imagination, a captivating 12-track collection unfurling themes of love, ambition and optimism.
Led by her elegant vocals, layered over immersive sonics of pianos, synths and roaring guitar licks, the album blossoms with a vibrant sense of joy, framed emotive and performative touches.
Described by David as a “semi-autobiographical journey,” the project traces our journey into adulthood where our dreams and hope intertwine naturally with disappointments and disillusionment.
Grounding and uplifting all at once, the album encourages us to keep dreaming wrapped up in a fuzzy but rich instrumentation of keyboards, synths and electronic sounds.
