New York based artist, singer-songwriter and musician Speedrun has just unveiled her latest EP. Entitled Love's Latest News, the six track collection of music takes influence from medieval ideals of courtly love but how they relate to today. The highlight of the EP is the indie rock meets bedroom pop single "What He's Used To".

With "What He's Used To", Speedrun narrates a story of a modern casanova on a night out. The everyday society pressures and living under a patriarchy even in today's landscape, lead to heartache and unrelenting letdowns for both him and the women he encounters. Lyrics including, "They ask him if he'll do them in / He says he won't but he will / All his lovers burn just like candy on his tongue," show the women he plays with emotionally and how ultimately it hurts both him and them. "What He's Used To" thrills with layered textured guitar riffs and irresistible melodies sung in a memorable delivery. Warm vocal hues and 90's grunge rock inspired bass complete the mesmerizing musical moment.

Speedrun is the artist moniker of Nina Lüders, a tremendously talented artist and creator who began releasing music in 2023. Born and bred in New York, Speedrun's music blends garage rock, alt pop, Jazz and even Cameroonian makossa, for a hypnotizing and important listen. Take a listen to "What He's Used To" now and challenge the patriarchy.
