Memorial share cathartic exploration of loss on "Circle"

Following the success of their recent release “Corduroy,” acclaimed British alt-folk duo Memorial unveil a glimpse of their upcoming second studio album Redsetter with new single “Circle” a cathartic production dealing with tragedy and recovering from it.

Born out of the personal experiences of a family friend, the track frames the pain of bereavement with the comfort of knowing that you can still keep someone’s memory alive even without their physical presence.

Speaking of the inspiration and message behind the tender production, the pair say, "Circle was formed from a tragic series of events that happened to a family friend. They lost their partner and two dogs all in the space of a week. After hearing the news, this song seemed to ache its way out of our subconscious.”

Teaching us to move forward while still keeping someone’s precious space in our lives intact, the track is emotive and comforting as it imparts an important life lesson wrapped up in their catchy alt-folk musicality.
