Suffolk-hailing indie-folk maestro Leon O'Leary has unveiled his latest gem, "Got This Love For You," featuring the enchanting vocals of Korean artist Gyuri Baek. This tantalising single offers a glimpse into O'Leary's much-anticipated debut EP, 'Pretend (To Be Saviours),' following his acclaim at festivals like Latitude and Wild Paths, earning him a spot among BBC Introducing East’s 'Artists to Watch For 2022.'
Influenced by Ben Howard, Bruce Springsteen, and Hozier, O'Leary's self-produced track combines rhythmic guitar patterns, electronic bass, and tom-heavy drums. Gyuri Baek's ethereal Korean vocals add a captivating layer, creating a mesmerising fusion. O'Leary shares the personal inspiration behind the song- delving into relationship anxieties and trust issues. The collaboration with Baek, suggested by O'Leary's girlfriend, weaves Irish, English, and Korean influences for a unique musical tapestry and a dynamic new sound.
Having graced stages with Bernard Butler and The Feeling, O'Leary's journey is marked by Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing support. With "Got This Love For You," he propels toward his debut EP, solidifying his position as an indie-folk artist to watch.
