The multicultural background has played a pivotal role in his assimilation into American culture, fostering a deep love for music that has shaped his artistic identity. His latest song, "Something New", represents a vivid, eclectic single that demonstrates a natural chemistry with collaborators DB Bantino and Syd, translating into a sleek, genre-bending cut.
"Something New" contains breezy, refreshing instrumentation built around glistening keys, airy vocal samples, and a punchy, lively rhythm section. Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Conteh said, “in today's world everyone is trying to follow a trend, follow the same sound, everything just feels like it sounds the same. I don’t want to just create music just to create it, I want people to listen to my music and feel something. I’m taking influences from sounds around the world and creating my own sound, something new.”
