Boston-based emcee and producer M-Dot is not sleeping on his oars and after closing out last year with his Ego and the Enemy 2: A Dissolute Paradise LP and a slew of music videos, he returns for 2024 with a brand new release "You and You". The track is a home team affair as he teams up with long-time EMS ally Revalation over Grammy Award-Winning producer M-Phazes's anthemic production. The track features both emcees trading witty verses over the thumping production while incorporating their rhymes using the word "you" as the common thread. The result is a plethora of bars with additional vocals by Kore (of EMS) and Shea O' Brien on the chorus and scratches by frequent collaborator Lp2 (from France).
The video shot by Raymond ("The Atonement"), hilariously depicts a day in the life of M-Dot & Rev portraying "dirty cops" on some "Starsky & Hutch" type vibe. It is quite hilarious and shows how these low-down cops circumvent the rules like no man's business.
The single serves as the 1st taste of what's to come from M-Dot's upcoming album Daze of Greed coming soon (Date TBA).
