Indie-house artist Ry Hill has returned with the penultimate single ahead of his debut studio album 'Death by Distraction'. Closing out 2023, "In Touch" is crafted using a mesh of organic and synthetic soundscapes. The single perfectly embodies Hill’s signature indie-electronic sound, seeing the 26-year-old artist employ his own vocals, guitar, and keyboard skills on the carefree, yet catchy new record.
Los Angeles-bred, Brooklyn-based producer/DJ Ry Hill, born Cameron DeFaria, first started gaining traction in 2016 by uploading remixes to SoundCloud. Since then, Hill has become a reputable electronic tastemaker in LA's thriving club scene. Hill's infectious "indie house" sound is continually catching the ears of new listeners as he expands his global audience.
Sharing on "In Touch", Hill shares, "[The single] is about the limbo stage before a break-up. Staying ‘In Touch’ hurts less than breaking it off completely. I wanted to give it a moody yet catchy atmosphere to carry home that idea."
In February 2023, Hill issued his first-ever label-backed single, “Ascension,” via Ibiza imprint Haustronaut Recordings. Newly added to the impressive roster of FRNDS MGMT (Alison Wonderland, Crooked Colours), Hill is in the midst of rolling out his debut album, 'Death by Distraction'. Thus far, album inclusions “Lost In My Sentiments,” “Otherside,” “Distracted,” and now “In Touch,” have landed on streaming platforms.
