Rock & Roll troubadour Johnny Manchild returns with the spirited new single, "Oh, Songbird", an invigorating preview of his upcoming album set to launch in spring 2024. The songwriting prowess displayed in this track is nothing short of extraordinary. "Oh, Songbird" rides on a guitar riff crafted from the essence of punk and alt-rock, creating an infectious blend of rhythmic beats, head-bobbing melodies and dynamic vocals. The composition, production and vocals by Johnny Manchild showcase a seamless fusion of genres that defy categorisation.

The song's upbeat and systematically alluring nature speaks to the band's ability to transcend conventional genre boundaries. With a charming online presence and infectious tunes, Johnny Manchild has paved the way for independent success, accumulating over twenty million streams to date. Fans can anticipate fresh sonic horizons when the full album drops in 2024, as the band continues to captivate with their genre-defying and captivating songwriting.

Johnny Manchild says, "I wrote “Oh, Songbird” during covid, and in the middle of the BLM protests. It became extremely obvious that there were instances of racism in my life and community that I had never been made aware of, and everything seemed so bleak for a while. I had also lost a family member in an accident during this time, which fucked me up more than I realized initially. All of that in combination with the brutal loneliness of quarantine was just soul crushing. I wrote this song as a way to say, things are messed up, and maybe worse than we thought, but things will get better. I think it’s important to believe that things can always get better, especially when you’re in the worst of it."
