M’Lynn returns with “Better Me”

Singer-songwriter M'Lynn started off 2023 with "Safety Net", a retro-influenced R&B track and now closes out the year with "Better Me". The mid-tempo reflective tune is rich in textures and has an overwhelming sombre aesthetic. Here, M'Lynn reflects on life, love and the never-ending growth as time goes on. Armed with her commanding and soul stirring vocal runs, she gives us a glimpse into her life and the many things that worry her with lines like "I'm hardwired to overthink, I get depressive when I overthink/I'm so obssessive over little things till I forget about reality". Not the one to mince her words and show her vulnerability, the singer pours her all on this profound and self-conscious song.

M’Lynn is a singer songwriter, and pianist from Dallas, Texas. Her career began at age 15 while attending Booker T. Washington Highschool for the Visual and Performing Arts, following artist alumnus such as Norah Jones, Erykah Badu, Elliot Skinner, Edie Brickell, Roy Hargrove and many more.
