Canadian trio SWiiMS share debut LP Into The Blue Night, a 12-track collection that weaves an enchanting sonic tapestry that spans nostalgic touches of 80s new wave, 90s indie rock, Britpop, and shoegaze.
Kicking off with the atmospheric vibes of “In Puzzles,” before offering the honeyed melodies of “Fade Days,” and “Staring at the Sun,” the album sweeps ahead with a warm and vibrant vibe.While tracks like “Chemical,” come alive with ethereal vocals over luscious instrumentals others like “Closer,” feel more anthemic and heavy with echoing beats punctuating the layered vocals.
