Guelph, Ontario-based beatmaker and producer Elaquent just released his project, REDISCOVERY, and celebrates the drop with the release of a new single "Hoes Mad". The track is a playful bravado-laden piece that brings together rapper/songwriter Brittney Carter and vocalist Jazstarr. Over Elaquent's warm and soulful production, Brittney delivers a nonchalant and carefree performance ripe with confidence and refreshing candour. Her cadence is reminiscent of Rapsody but on a lower register with a distinct texture but the icing on the cake is her lighthearted rhymes that poke fun at the naysayers. She playfully states "Hoes mad cos they really love me and they hide it/Hoes mad cos they wanna play my shit in private/Hoes mad I don't really blame 'em, I can't shame 'em, everybody got they opinions 'but entertainers" as she goes on about her business.
