London-based alternative soul powerhouse Zubi first caught our ears with his single "Lifestyle" and now he returns with the soul-searching track titled "Whiskey". The guitar-laden track produced by Abuja-based producer Tempo has a solemn and somewhat moody feel that sets the perfect canvas for Zubi's reflective lyrics that dwell on fleeting hope, love and the never-ending search for one's true self. Zubi leads the charge with a plea as he struggles to come to terms with his current situation and withering love life. He is also joined by vocalist Hearjuno who peppers the track with a sublime and enchanting melodic performance.

"Whiskey" is taken from Zubi's latest EP Journey To Idan EP, 5 five track body of work that speaks to the journey we all have to make to become the people we want to be. Zubi not only unveils his soul on this project but also gifts listeners a musical compass for their own personal journeys of self-discovery.

Speaking about the inspiration behind his Journey To Idan EP, Zubi says, “The EP was inspired by the path I’ve been on lately, towards love, living, and self-discovery. This project is an expose into my life, and how much I really want to rediscover myself, my relationships, and the impact my actions have on everyone around me.
