Prolific LA-based rapper Pawz One is not one to rest on his oars as he drops a new 3-track EP Tell Em I Was Here entirely produced by Water The Plants. The project starts off with the previously released single "Algorithm & Blues (Maybe)", a thought-provoking track that on the possibility of humans being a simulation and we are all none the wiser. The production has a sombre and reflective aesthetic comprised of solemn guitars and pads with soft grooves that blend with Pawz One's vivid lyricism and life-questioning rhymes like "It's all a simulation in fact, you've seen the Matrix right? Well this is basically that". He takes it a step further with statements like "It's a movie, camera, action it's gone/You don't really know these things until they are actually gone/We soul searching, we just looking for truth like/or maybe we just stuck in a loop like" where he admits that we still do not know the full story of this thing called life. This is followed by "Swan Song", a warm and nostalgia-inducing track that talks about coming to terms with being overlooked in his time. Lines like "Looking back, on everything that has gone wrong/ walking past when they notice I be long gone/ Stay strong I accept that it's alright, tale flight and this will be my swan song" see Pawz One feeling content with his efforts as he reminds us that he will be fine regardless. The final track "Tell Em I Was Here" serves as a reminder and a warning from Pawz One who shares his sentiments over Water The Plants' soulful backdrop with lines like "A prisoner of pain, I only travel in my dreams/I know they might forget, Tell em I was here, you ever have love? Tell em I was here/When its all said and done, Tell em I was here".

Stream Tell Em I Was Here on Vinyl & All DSPs here.

The EP is available on all digital stores and vinyl. The vinyl includes an extra track featuring Masta Ace & DJ Rhettmatic and comes in marbled yellow/purple colours. The B side of the vinyl includes the instrumentals and acapellas.
