Bloemfontein, South Africa-based Nairobi, Kenya-born multi-faceted artist M. Rumbi is a man who wears many hats. From songwriting, producing, curating, photography and more, he has made his bones by working with music collective Rozzi@Work to producing and working with other artists. "Warmth" is his latest record which sees him teaming up with singer Monifé for a sultry and heartfelt R&B ballad. The record has a sublime and warm feel that encapsulates the adulation-filled lyrics that detail that unexplainable feeling one has with a special person. Over M.Rumbi's laidback groove and soothing pads, Monifé pours her heart on wax as she confesses her true feelings for that special somebody whose presence makes her feel comfortable and safe.

M. Rumbi's music is a mix of sounds, and his style has been compared to FKJ, Jordan Rakei, Tom Misch, Daughter, and Steve Lacy. He plays with different genres and sonics, which means that listeners can expect anything from folk to hip-hop to afro-beat. He has created different alter egos to separate his various musical styles, including "City" as a rap moniker, and "theNairobiNomad" as a production moniker.

In addition to his music career, M. Rumbi has a degree in Economics from the University of the Free State and has performed at numerous venues and events across the region, including "The AHADI Experience", "Live with Levante", "Jazz on the Lawn", "The Bloemfontein Civic Theatre", and "The National Arts Festival". He has won a "Standard Bank Ovation Award" as part of BasicCity and has been featured in several online blogs and newspapers, including "The Sunday Nation", "The Bloemfontein Courant", "The Pan-African Magazine", "TANGAZA", and most recently "The Native Magazine" where he was named one of the "Best New Artists to Watch In 2023".

In his free time, M. Rumbi enjoys assisting other artists with information and resources. He is also involved in music administration at "AHADI". His hobbies include reading, sketching, photography, and jamming.
