Australian singer/songwriter Rhyece O'Neill unveils an intriguing new acoustic blues rock single "Sonny Liston's Blues". The track is the second single of the year from the prolific songwriter following his mood-rich release "Jandamarra" released in June.

With "Sonny Liston's Blues", Rhyece O'Neill pens a song all about unrequited love, lust and ultimate loss. The track is named for his favorite boxer but really the lyrics are all about a relationship that is unfulfilled. Lyrics including, "Look at my fridge babe / See there is no more / Turn the future on its head / Until fate is what you said / Turn tricks to kill the pain," show the immense emptiness in desire that is not returned but also the hope that it may be found in the future. Musically, "Sonny Liston's Blues" stirs at the heartstrings with lush acoustic guitars that underlay whisky-drenched vocals. Layered passionate melodies, Americana inspired slide guitars and emotive piano chords are also highlighted in this stunning musical offering.

Rhyece O'Neill is from the banks of the Murray River in North-East Victoria, Australia. The enigmatic musician, poet and novelist is known for his thrilling performances and has shared the stage with the likes of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Scientists, White Denim, and Hanni El Khatib, among others. Known for traveling the Australian outback in his 79' Chrysler Valiant with the spirit of his best friend, his late dog Sonny, O'Neill is a bit of a local legend. Check out his new song now and share it with your family and friends.
