Los Angeles based singer, songwriter and producer Sounds of Walker has just unleashed his debut single shared alongside a music video. Called "KO", the electronic meets synth pop banger is the first in a series of musical releases from the newcomer.
With "KO", Sounds of Walker creates a musical melting pot of unique and experimental sounds. Swirling synths, thumping steady bass and warm vocals entice with every note. Seductive layered melodies sing lyrics of self discovery and empowerment, including "Find your light / You're my muse / You're my might / Don't let / Nothin hold you down / Own your power / And never drown." The important and hopeful song was written when Sounds of Walker was on a plane ride soaring above the islands of Thailand. He confides, "As I saw what seemed to be hundreds of tiny islands strewn across the horizon, shimmering like stars in the sun's orange glow, I had a strong feeling that we all are like those tiny islands. Whole worlds within, fully sustained, but yet connected in so many ways." The result is a transformative song all about love, hope, connection and self realization. The accompanying music video is a psychedelic color explosion with moving graphics for an interesting and intriguing watch.
