Homeboy Sandman reminds us that it will all be "Fine" [Video]

Elmhurst Queens native Homeboy Sandman recently released the Mono En Stereo produced album Rich, a multi-layered project that dwells on self-growth, renewed objectivity away from the preconditioned state that he was in before finding his true self. His latest release is the video for the song "Fine" which is lifted from the aforementioned album.  The Mono En Stereo produced track is a solemn and soulful piece that is made up of warm textures, soothing melodic hums and pads that are devoid of drums or percussions.  Not constrained by the structure, Homeboy Sandman delivers a dynamic and emotion-filled performance that centers on the dynamics of the relationship between parents, their kids and the overarching society as a whole. From preconceived notions, gender conformism and being stuck in old teaching habits, Homeboy Sandman reminds us that just maybe, we have been going about things the wrong way and making slight changes wouldn't be a bad idea. He gives us something to ponder on with lines like "Boys was all taught how to not be men,we was all taught we should not be friends/ Girls was all taught they should not like nerds, girls was all taught that its all about curves/Think that way so long, it's hard to recognize things don't go wrong " and ends it on a hopeful note that things will be fine.

The accompanying visual by longtime collaborator Art Morera blends different spots in NY with subtle motifs that capture the natural bond between fathers, mothers and their kids.
