Brighton's music scene is buzzing with excitement as garage punk trio, Honeybadger, released their latest single, "Back Home". This hard-hitting track features heavy guitar riffs, mesmerising melodic solos, and the gritty, grungy vocals of Eddy, all culminating to express the frustrations of life's minor inconveniences.
Formed in 2014 by brothers Joe and Eddy, alongside their close friend Luca, Honeybadger has been a staple in Brighton's live music circuit. Their upcoming gig at Prince Albert on August 7th promises to be an electrifying night, showcasing their authentic rock with heavy punk and grunge influences.
The inspiration behind "Back Home" comes from Eddy's own experiences of reaching a breaking point with someone unwilling to meet halfway. In his words, "We're not trying to change the world… it's one minute to midnight… Let's have it!" The track evolved from demos created in a tiny, dimly lit room, and has since transformed into a powerful anthem recorded in the studio.
As the first release from their forthcoming energetic and spiky rock singles set to drop throughout 2023 and early 2024, "Back Home" sets the stage for Honeybadger's continued rise to stardom. With their unique sound and passionate performances, the trio has already caught the attention of radio shows and enthusiastic fans alike.
