Zé Miles has shared a new project, titled IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING. Growing up, Miles discovered his love for music rapping during cyphers in the back of cars and at house parties, then quickly attracting the attention of his peers. Encouraged by his friends, he stepped into the studio and fell head over heels in love with the process and the art form, developing his potent, confessional lyrical style over a series of subsequent mixtapes. Hailing from the vibrant city of New Paltz, NY, Miles draws inspiration from his surroundings, channeling the energy of his hometown into his music. Having started to release mixtapes on a prolific scale since 2018, he has embraced the journey of self-discovery and has flourished as an independent artist. His latest project, IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING bristles with a soulful energy while keeping its content raw, heartfelt and relatable, making for an engaging 7-track offering.

IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING opens with the triumphant "HALL OF FAME", which conveys a sense of confidence with expansive horns, heavy, booming 808s, and clasping drums that create a muscular backdrop for Miles' sleek flows. He comes through with charismatic verses laced with thoughtful lines, delivered with dynamic rhyme patterns. "I'M FREE" creates an atmospheric soundscape with airy samples, pillowy 808s, and crisp percussion underscoring Miles' laid-back, smooth vocals. "LOVE ME OR LEAVE ME" closes out the project on a high note with elegant samples building in layers atop a potent rhythm section, with Miles diving into his trials and tribulations and offering sharp insight into the world around him with his verses.

With IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING, Miles conveys that he wants the listener to know one simple truth- what they hear in his music is an unfiltered reflection of who he is. Stripped of pretense and false personas, his music offers a raw and genuine connection, inviting listeners to find solace and meaning within the melodies and lyrics.
