As M-Dot prepares to embark on yet another European tour, he delivers the proper visual to the Pete Rock-produced record titled "The Atonement". The Atonement" was the debut leak from the emcee who is preparing his forthcoming LP egO anD The eneMy 2: A Dissolute Paradise which serves as the sequel to the ’17 released egO anD The eneMy. M-Dot is in full form on this track which sees him working with legendary hip-hop producer Pete Rock who laces him with head-nodding chilling instrumentation. The result is a pure display of lyrical haymakers that demonstrates M-Dot’s love for the art of rhyming. He flexes some crazy patterns and internal rhymes over the canvas provided by Pete Rock and delivers that good old hardcore hip-hop that would leave you with a satisfying screwed face. Since its release, the song (and M-Dot's vocals) went on to be sampled by DJ Premier on Logic's Def Jam/Universal release "Vinyl Days."
The accompanying visual captures M-Dot in his element with a haunting, film noir black and white video directed by Rayymond, adding the perfect contextual layer to this moody anthem.
In addition to Pete Rock, egO anD The eneMy 2: A Dissolute Paradise boasts production and guest appearances from the likes of Erick Sermon, Apollo Brown, !llmind, Black Milk, G-Koop, Willie The Kid, Vast Aire and more. The Limited Collector's Edition Splash Vinyl is available now via M-Dot's Bandcamp.
