Peter $un has shared a new video for his song "MY FAVORITE DRUG", a single from his forthcoming EP 3PIECE, on Red Bull Records/ Mind of a Genius. $un is an artist that commits all of his emotions, thoughts, and truths to tape- and he never holds back. The Richmond-born and Los Angeles-based rapper, vocalist, and producer confronts his trauma, discloses his ambitions, and embraces his potential over a soundtrack of future-facing hip-hop laced with eloquent jazz-style instrumentation and laced with soul and vibrance. His latest offering, "MY FAVORITE DRUG", sets the tone for summer with its colorful house-inspired beat and his signature laid-back vocal style, accompanied by a refreshing, warm visual.

"MY FAVORITE DRUG" contains engaging, balmy house-laced instrumentation based around swirling, vibrant synths and shuffling, lively percussion. $un delivers smooth, charismatic vocals that split the line between hip-hop and R&B, while adding extra infectiousness and dance-ability to the cut. With "MY FAVORITE DRUG", he presents a fun-loving offering and conveys that he just wants people to let loose. That couldn’t be more clear in the new accompanying video where we find him in a desert-fueled fever dream complete with a dance sequence and an off-road car chase.

Regarding "MY FAVORITE DRUG", $un says, “I feel like coming out of Covid and all the losses we’ve had the past couple years, my music was reflecting that during the time of my EP, ‘Phone Calls Gimme Anxiety’. With the new music, I really wanted to make people feel good and dance. It’s got that funk/house bounce to it. This one is for the house parties, the cook outs, and all that.”

$un's latest "MY FAVORITE DRUG", presents a vibrant, refreshing track that makes for an apt soundtrack for the summer, paired with a warm, immersive new visual.
