London-based talent S.F. Johnson explores our relationship with ourselves on “The Goo," bringing emotional and infectious elements together as vibrant vocals layered over groovy basslines, understated drums and shimmering guitars.
Taken from his debut album Digital Utopia, the indie rock production unfolds as a therapeutic exercise of mulling over your fears and anxieties in quiet moments and finding the strength to help yourself towards peace.
The refreshing and anthemic offering is accompanied by a cinematic music video that portrays a good mood amidst the uncertainties. Speaking of the video, he said, “The roof is where the video was shot. I’d try to get up there for 15 minutes every evening – pink skies, perfect weather, try to slow down, be in the moment.”
Having crafted a meditative yet energetic artistry rooted in self-reflection, Johnson channels everything from hope and defeat, peace and restlessness, meditation and chaos into a smooth blend of alt-rock/Pop and disco, as open ups in an effort to pull others into his world.
