Brooklyn's Cisco Swank has returned with a collaborative effort, teaming up with Yoshi T. on new single "No Funny." Swank, born Francisco Haye, is a vocalist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who has been blending R&B, jazz, and hip-hop sounds commercially since 2018. Swank is fresh off another collaborative project — the debut LP, Some Things Take Time released last year with Luke Titus he completed in his free time between classes at Berklee College of Music.

Here, he teams up with fellow WHATMORE collective member, Japanese-American rapper, producer, and visual-artist Yoshi T. Yoshi is a New Yorker as well, who created buzz the old-fashioned way–playing a bunch of house shows. From this local foothold, he released his debut EP "SANDBOX." He looks to return again with a new EP this summer.

The track opens with a warm, feel-good spirit and soulful instrumental riff. "I can see how far that we've come and it's only begun" sets the tone for Yoshi and Swank trading melodies and verses about keeping your head up. The track's message is one of tenacity, overcoming, and perseverance, paying attention to "no funny shit" along the way. The production is expectedly beautiful–it has a sun-bleached nostalgia to it that feels timeless but youthful.

The single is the second track to come from Cisco this spring. "All The Same" released last month as the pair look to pave the way to Swank's debut album, More Better out May 31st.

"No Funny" is available to stream everywhere via THANKS Recordings. Make sure to stay up to date with Cisco and Yoshi via the links below.
