Austin based singer/songwriter Caelin has just unleashed her debut EP Save Me From Me, a captivating five song collection inspired by her time of reflection during lockdown. The single "nobody's home" is a highlight from the EP and a perfect sonic taste of Caelin's unique musical fusion.
With "nobody's home", Caelin explores the perils of a failed relationship and being let down by the one who once was important to her. The song also explores deceit and being misled by someone you once trusted. She sings, "scratch the surface of my soul / I lay here alone / don't bother knocking / nobody's home." Caelin is moving on and won't entertain her past love's advancements. Musically, "nobody's home" features soul-drenched vocals singing cathartic, floating melodies that are full of fervor and heart. Slow-burned echoing guitars and prominent basslines are also a standout in this stunningly lush single.
Caelin is a rising artist who began sharing music in 2019. Fusing dream pop, rock, Americana and folk, Caelin transports listeners to euphoric and emotional peaks. Teaming up with producer Mobley and Mason Ables, her new EP was produced virtually via Zoom. Take a listen to "nobody's home" now and remember to leave those behind that don't serve you.
